Kasargod, Jun 9: Krishna (35) from Perla Shivagiri Badiyar has committed suicide on Thursday, June 9, by hanging in a lodge near Kasargod railway station after losing his job in Muscat.
Krishna was employed in a private engineering company in Muscat as a mechanical engineer. He had lost the fingers of his right hand after getting caught in a machine while on duty. He was in Muscat for sometime under medical treatment and returned to his hometown six months ago. The company officials had assured that he will be employed in their branch in India.
He had come back after assurance from Muscat officials. He had submitted several applications to their Bengaluru branch but there was no response. Krishna had expressed his sorrow to several people about not obtaining his job.
He had gone to submit an application to the Mangaluru branch of the company on Tuesday, June 7 and returned to Kasargod by train. He stayed in a lodge near the railway station.
His dead body was found hanging in the lodge. It is said that he committed suicide getting dejected after losing his job.
He was unmarried. His dead body was handed over to his family by Kasargod police after conducting post-mortem at government general hospital.
