Disproportionate assets case - Eshwarappa gets conditional bail

Daijiworld Media Network - Shivamogga (SP)

Shivamogga, Jun 11: The Lokayukta special court here, which heard disproportionate assets case involving former minister and current leader of the opposition in the Legislative Council, K S Eshwarappa, granted conditional bail to him.

A local advocate, Vinod, had complained that K S Eshwarappa, his son, K E Kantesh, and daughter-in-law, Shalini, had amassed wealth that was disproportionate to their known sources of income. Judge of the court, B K Nayak, who heard the case, granted bail subject to furnishing of two guarantors each, and bonds for five lac rupees each.

This case was last posted to June 7, but Eshwarappa, his son and daughter-in-law had not been able to attend the court then. It was therefore adjourned to June 10. Eshwarappa attended the court on Friday. Advocate, Ashok G Bhat, filed bail application on his behalf. Eshwarappa said that a political conspiracy has been hatched against him in the form of court case.

Not something new that people don't know, most of the politicians are corrupt. Rise above party lines and penalize those who take tax payers money for granted. I also have some disproportionate assets, I call them friends !

We should all know that in India all politicians and their kin get anticipatory bail. The most corrupt get released from jail just on mathematical basis like Jayalalitha did.

BJP must begin charity at home. There is no good corruption and bad corruption. In fact Corruption is heinous crime as it breaks the economic back bone of Nation and corrupt the society. Instead of fight for Gandhi/Nehru/Subash/Patel in text books, Citizen should demand for text on "Anti Bribery/Corruption and its ill effect on society" right from Primary school.

Totally agree Mr. Mohan Naik. In Our
school children's Text books, it needs to be explained further as to how much more our politicians looted in their 70 years rule compared to during, about 200 years of British rule.
