Mangaluru, Jun 11: Many places in both Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts received good rain on Friday June 10. The city got rain frequently with gaps in between.
Sullia and Kadaba got heavy rain. Other places like Beltangady, Puttur, Bantwal and Suratkal got rain for sometime.
Karkala taluk in Udupi district witnessed good rain. Reports of rain were also received from Udupi city, Padubidri, Shirva, etc. Honnavar in Uttara Kannada district received highest rain of seven cm.
The meteorological department has sounded warning to fishermen that wind with a vvelocity of 45 to 55 km per hour is likely to blow during the next 24 hours in the coast. As per predictions, several places in the coast and inland are likely to get rain, with chances of heavy rain lashing a couple of places in coastal Karnataka.
