Mangaluru, Jun 14: Members of certain Hindu organizations, after getting information that a couple made up of persons belonging to different religions had hired a room in a lodge, had made preparations to raid the said lodge on Monday June 13.

Police personnel belonging to Konaje station, who were alerted about this incident, acted swiftly and made inquiries. They found out that the two were students and closely related to each other. As such, the situation eased and an incident of immoral rowdyism narrowly missed from taking place. The incident occurred at Deralakatte within the limits of Konaje police station.

The lady in question had completed MBA course from here. Her relative is from Kerala. As she had completed her course, the student had to vacate her hostel room at Konaje. She had taken part in an interview for job held at Manipal on Monday and was bound for her village near Puttur. On the way, she stayed with her close relative in a lodge. Activists of some Hindu organizations were tipped by someone that the two look like belonging to different religions. A number of activists came together in front of Mehraj Lodge at Deralakatte thereafter.

Konaje police rushed there immediately after getting information. When they questioned the duo, they came to know that both the students were relatives, and their families were aware that they were staying together. The police then sent them away safely. During this period, one of the youngsters who had assembled there behaved rudely and asked Konaje police sub-inspector, Sudhakar, to produce the couple in front of them. Sudhakar took him to task, and wanted to know whether he would have behaved the same way had they been his brother and sister.

No case was registered about this incident with the police.

It is unfortunate that we have traitors who have the audacity to say we have had Orlando like incidents. S there are incidents in Kashmir wher Pandits were gunned donwn or now in Kairana Uttar Pradesh where Hindu driven out of their homes. But they dont think that is necessary to highlight. These people will never think anything beyond religious aspect. Shaame on their fundamentalistic and narrow thinking

What! The police did not arrest these goons and put them in Jail? Who are these guys to decide what people can do? The main proble is these people get away with these acts of rowdyism, otherwise why should the police enquire who the couple are? They are both adults and decide for themselves. Shows how perverted Mangalore has become.

In Karnataka whoever takes charges of Home Ministry, he s " moral police will not be tolerated" and the same with the Police commissioners, as soon as they take charge, the first thing they say is " I will not tolerate moral policing" but all are following our beloved PM.

At least now you have told the truth. Moral Police are present in all the states. There main activities to balance the society according to the situation..which even government cannot able to do so. Where is the question arises to ban the same. People who are informing from ages..are less knowledge about the society..ongoing looks like. Better to improve themselves.. a last option.

    Dev Kumar,

Granted. But their female relatives must give an affidavit that their brothers (Moral Police) are earning enough so that they (female relatives) don't have to slog tooth and nail to lit fire in the house.

If you are asking for rewarding somebody who loiters around just because a sponsor pays for their meals and a thotte in the evening but are on their toes when an unknown young couple is spotted together, you better think again if this type of youth we need in India to boost the economy !

People are who involved in moral police..god only knows tommorow where they will be. Should not judge by ourselves. Opportunity can take anybody anywhere. Don't under estimate..in the terms of just pressing of liking. It's only looking good in DW...and no where else. Best example is Kaurvas and Pandvas who latter only five win the battle.

Hindu men, instead of forming Moral Police gangs, must be in courtship of girls of their community. This will encourage men of other community to remain dedicated to girls of their own and there will be friendship and love existing instead of animosity and hatred.
