Puttur: 'Not eminent enough to take on Janardhana Poojary' - Hemanath

Daijiworld Media Network - Puttur (SP)

Puttur, Jun 14: "Janardhana Poojary is counted among the top leadership of the party. Compared to him, my stature is too short. I can never think of taking him to task," claimed former president of local block Congress, Kavu Hemanath Shetty.

Addressing a press conference here on Monday June 13, Shetty said that he had earlier spoken against Poojary with the specific purpose of clearing misconceptions in the minds of Congress workers. He added that the other purpose of his statements was to assert that party's policies and rules are uniformly applicable to all the activists including leaders.

"Several leaders have negatively reacted to my earlier utterances. Are those who are critical of my stand against Poojary prepared to justify the dressing down given by Poojary to our chief minister and ministers?" he wanted to know.

Hemanath claimed that as a sincere party worker, he had analyzed the stand taken by Poojary on various issues honestly, and that former union minister and MP, Veerappa Moily, had no role to play in it.

Mr. BJP is very honest and good person. But his over smartness to about his own family is not correct. If some one sick in your family talk to the sick person, convince to go to doctor and have some proper treatment. Where Mr. BJP is doing," ayo muyo my....got sick....he having flu....he is having malaria....he is having throat pain....ayo...." This is not correct Mr. BJP. Please correct and you will be the best.

I support Hemanath Shetty in this aspect.

Poojary is a loose cannon and has no control over his tongue. Siddu is doing a good job despite meaningless opposition from JDS & BJP. Poojary should retire gracefully and let young leaders from congress to take over.

Poojary is a spent force who could not obtain votes from his own Billava community in 2009 & 2014 elections and now vents out his frustration by calling a press conference every other day.

I do not know what was your age in 1984 or you were born at that time when Poojary was MOS Finance-banking operations in Rajaeev Gandhi's cabinet.
Many learned people like you even today blindly believe that Poojary has damaged banks by making bank to give loans to poor people.
Fact of the matter is Poojary is the person responsible for popularising the small loans for poor class, artisans who were till then not considered for bank loans. In his time for the first the gates of commercial banks opened for granting small loans, govt sponsored loans to down trodden.Rest is the history.Thereafter all most all parties supported the schemes introduced by Poojary. It is also a fact that number of such loans borrwed by poor class people went unpaid and banks have to write off such accounts. Please understand that the loans were for small sums like 3 to 10 ten thousand maximum 25 thousand for artisans. The unpaid/written off loans constitute % compared other general write offIn later years crores of sums were written off granted to big parties/corporates and those names are kept secret. in banks.
If anybody is keen to discover the truth, can be done through RTI which will dispel the deep rooted doubt.
Caution..today banking is in cross roads. They are experiencing highest NPA ever.Old wine in the new bottle by way of Mudra loans laks of crores granted last year will give effect in this fiscal
and situation is frightening resultant sans prudence.

Damage Control? Someone has prompted you to say this stuff. Any Tom, Dick, or Harry contesting against Poojari will will for sure. This has been demonstrated not once but 5 times. Besides appeasement & pretending to be savior of minorities, there is nothing in the Cong kitty that it can boast off.
