Teacher arrested for blackmailing female colleague with nude pictures

Mangaluru, Jun 14: Konaje police have arrested a male teacher for promising to marry a female colleague and cheating her. The man also faces the charges of raping her, for taking nude pictures of her, blackmailing her and for forcing her to sign cheque.

Narasimha Murthy (34) from Mysuru is the arrested teacher. He has been working in Deralakatte Netaji government high school for the last four months.

Narasimha Murthy, and a female teacher of Mandya origin working for government primary school in Bantwal taluk, had met during Morarji Desai teacher's training held in Mysuru in 2014. The acquaintance turned to friendship and Narasimha had promised the female teacher that he would marry her. He had invited the teacher to his room on June 2 and had allegedly raped her. Meanwhile he took nude pictures of her. He blackmailed the female teacher and forced her to sign cheque worth several thousands of rupees.

The aggrieved female teacher complained about it in Konaje police station. The police arrested suspect Narasimha Murthy and recovered nude pictures from him.

    Since when did consensual sex become rape? I mean, look at the poor law that defines the definition of rape! Mr. Murthy could be prosecuted for obscenity, outraging the modesty of women and blackmailing with a criminal intent or under similar acts, but hello! Rape?? One turns up on own her own legs, indulges in consensual sex, goes back home safely. And you call it rape?

    Where in the article did you read "consensual sex"?

    If by "consensual sex" you mean that just because she as his colleague went to his room and did not complain earlier when he jumped her does not mean she enjoyed every bit of the action.

    There are a great number of women in this world who choose to keep silent and do not complain of rape because of their so called dignity. Unfortunately this jerk of a man prodded her to break her silence and complain to the cops by blackmailing her for money.

    Remember that now he is not only a RAPIST but also a ROBBER. He progressed from a colleague to a friend to a possible life partner to a rapist and finally a black mailer and a thief.

    People should hang him naked upside down on a pole right in front of his school so that all his students and sundry can spit on his thing and face.

    A woman might come to a man's room for any purpose, a woman might agree to marry a man, and so on and so forth under/for various circumstances, it does not mean that she wants sex or it is OK for a man to assume these circumstances as an agreement by her for him to jump her.

    Its time a man learns to leash his thing and not behave like an insolent roadside dog.

    For all those who have posted positive comments for this man...

    I wonder what type of people would want this insolent dog to teach their children at school?

    Sir, you are judging a man based on a one-sided story.

    According to an Supreme Court revelation (2012), 85% of such cases end up with no convictions. This despite the humiliation and torture meted out to the man solely due to an accusation by the woman and her lawyer (and possibly police).

    We must remember that accusations can be plain lies - to achieve some objective!

    So when we join in the accusation based on a story released to the media, we could be causing further injustice.

    People jump to blame the man.

    But what if the woman willingly participated, with the clear knowledge that she could trap the man into marrying her?

    What if she had tried her best and never managed to find a man interested in marrying her?

    People (and unfortunately the police) use the term rape for consensual sex.

    If the man takes the issue to court (a higher one), there is a good chance the matter will not be considered rape.

    A man is not guilty merely because an accusing female and the police publish a horrible story.

    The society must deal with such cases exactly as the higher courts do.

    Sounds confusing. If that female teacher had to lodge a complaint, she should have done when she was molested. Medical report with DNA would have nailed the male teacher. Instead, later on she issued a cheque for thousands of rupees. Was the man blackmailing or the woman reeling him in with conveniently placed proof of check and incriminating photographs.

    What a courage of female teacher to go to his room!. She is equally responsible for this. Normally these type cases happen when there is some sort of fight or disagreement and the law is highly biased against males!. I am sure they both have enjoyed for all these months. As a teacher and female, she should have avoided going to his room at all costs!, she is not a kid!

    He needs sympathy as he is aged 35, still unmarried. Many aged guys are not able to get partners and hence they are desperately getting into crime when opportunity comes. He should have married her after experiencing. Cheating is not good.

    She went for tuition on sexology subject. I dont understand the females today. All say educating woman can make her independent and safe.     Don't we go to a friends house if it is in the vicinity if we have urgent need to defecate. He was a friend until she went to his place where he turned into a monster\rapist. Must have laced her drink It is his "culture" which prompted to do all that he did.
