Udupi: Miscreants destroy road name boards in Haradi

Udupi, Jun 16: Some unknown miscreants were found to have purposefully destroyed name boards provided to different roads located within Haradi gram panchayat. The incident happened between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. The panchayat filed a complaint about this incident in Brahmavar police station.

Some villagers told Daijiworld that this destruction seems to be the handiwork of some people who were involved with infighting within the gram panchayat on account of regional politics. After some villagers informed about these incidents to gram panchayat development officer, James D'Silva, on Wednesday morning, he visited the spot, inspected the damages, and filed complaint in Brahmavar police station.

    This is in a very bad taste. Don't unnecessarily drag innocent people into this. Also don't degrade any profession even if it is that of a Waitress. It is not a crime to be a Waitress and climb in the ladder of life to the topmost position in a foreign country of over a billion people.
