Parikrama, Indian Ocean to enthral audiences on World Music Day


New Delhi, Jun 16 (IANS): Acclaimed Indian bands Parikrama, Indian Ocean, among other artistes, are set to enthral audiences at Hard Rock Cafe's World Music Day celebration.

The rock music-themed restaurant chain has collaborated with digital distribution platform Artist Aloud for a string of multi-city concerts on Sunday.

The event will also see performances from artistes like Amit Trivedi, Benny Dayal, Euphoria, Indiva, DJ Chetas, Lost Stories, Zaeden and Anish Sood at simultaneous gigs across Hard Rock Cafe outlets in Bengaluru, Mumbai (Worli & Andheri), New Delhi, Gurgaon, Hyderabad and Pune.

“As a brand that is synonymous with music, we strive to create a first of its kind experience for music lovers of all age groups," Jay Singh, JSM Corporation Executive Director, said in a statement.

"We believe in the power of music. Therefore, year after year we endeavour to churn out a World Music Day celebration more splendid than the previous," he added.

World Music Day commemorates the idea that originated in France in 1982, celebrating the accessibility to great music and the special bond that it creates between people across geographical boundaries. The annual music celebration is commemorated on June 21.
