Kundapur, Jun 17: A huge goods laden lorry broke the mini bridge wall near Hemmady Moovathumudi and fell in the rivulet below on Thursday night, June 16.

The speeding lorry hit the light pole behind the bridge, snapped the electric cables, hit the bridge wall and toppled in the rivulet. The left side wall of the bridge has been completely destroyed.

The lorry was driven by Jagadish. Conductor Kamal and cleaner Pal Bahadur too were in it. The locals pulled them out and got them admitted n Kundapur hospital after calling ‘108’ ambulance.

Usually locals are seen catching fish with fishing rods at the place of the accident. Fortunately there was nobody at that place at the time of the accident averting a major disaster.

A case has been registered in Kundapur traffic police station. The lorry was plying to Delhi from Mangaluru.

NOW even trucks developed " JEEVANADALLI JIGUPSE" !! probably unable to cope-up with rising fuel price thanx2 modis gimmick-economics & falling income, high debt & poor quality of roads the TRUCK decided to end its life.my heartfelt sympathies go with this giant truck & his fellow family trucks.
AND i call upon other trucks not to take extreme steps as bad days will pass,BJP-MODI govt will be thrown out of power & good old days will come back.

Truck knocked electric pole first, bridge barrier and takes plunge into the river.

This in terms indicates poor construction and safety standard of Indian national highways.

Is new highway in construction has steel guards to avert such tragedy?

VRL will have to take care before entering the aviation sector. Flying is not easy if road is bad.
