Mangaluru: Hit by train, newly married man dies near Thokkottu

Mangaluru, Jun 18: A man lost his life on Saturday afternoon , June 18 when a passing train hit him. The incident took place opposite Kolya Joyland school near Thokkottu.

Prashanth Moolya (35), from Saraswath Colony in Kolya, is the person deceased.

Prashanth was working as a permanent employee of Someshwar panchayat library. He also worked as pigmy deposit collector. Since Saturday was his holiday, he had gone to Thokkottu and on his way back, the accident took place.

Prashanth had married a woman from Madoor two months back. Prashanth was physically challenged from childhood and was the only son of his parents.

Mangaluru railway police have registered a case.
