Mumbai, Jun 20: Girija V Rao Jokatte(85), mother of well known journalist of Mumbai, Srinivasa Jokatte passed away at her residence at Borivli west on Saturday, June 18 after a brief illness.

She hailed from Jokatte, Mangaluru and was the wife of late Dr Venkatraman Rao. She has left behind two sons, two daughters and a large number of friends and relatives. She was the aunt of Jerimeri Uma Maheshwari temple chief priest S M Udupa.
