Dinesh Gundu Rao appointed KPCC working president

New Delhi, Jun 20 (PTI) : Dinesh Gundu Rao, who was among the 14 ministers dropped in the Karnataka cabinet reshuffle, was today made State working Congress President.

The announcement was made by AICC General Secretary Janardan Dwivedi, who said party chief Sonia Gandhi has approved the move.

Son of former Chief Minister R Gundu Rao, Dinesh is a three-time MLA and has been national spokesperson of the party.

At present, Home Minister G Parmeshwar is also the PCC Chief.

There has been talk of Energy Minister D K Shiva Kumar likely to be made the PCC chief.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah yesterday dropped 14 ministers and inducted 13 members into his Council of Ministers in a bid to give a face-lift to his three-year old government.

Assembly elections in the state are two years away.

    Sir,Those who talk of clean politics have appointed BS Yeddyurappa as BJP's Karnataka unit chief, knowing full well that "he was jailed for corruption charges as Chief Minister".

    "It speaks volumes when the Prime Minister talks of probity, but appoints allegedly tainted people as head of state units,"

    Yeddyurappa was booked in 15-16 cases by the state’s Lokayukta police for violation of rules, while denotifying government layouts.

    Is BJP bankrupt of clean and qualified leaders?

    Why party is only relying on casteism,criminal,communal and corrupt?

    When Dinesh Gundu Rao, was ped from ministerial list, I was indeed surprised.

    In fact he will be the future probable candidate for Karnataka CM chair.He has all the qualities for the same.
    CM Siddarammaiah might be honest CM but lacks visionary attitude. He is the enemy of himself and shortly he will be shown the way.

    Other mob will come and again loot, trend goes on. Politicians are smart, only voters have to be wise.
    Anyway why you are still writing B'lore, British have left India way back in 1947, even tickets are issued abroad as Bengaluru & use the same word while booking, stick to Indian names & culture.
