Udupi: Former police officer Anupama Shenoy appears in hometown

Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (EP)

Udupi, June 20: Former DySP Anupama Shenoy who arrived in her hometown in Uchila near here said that there was involvement of influential people behind her previous transfer.

Parameshwara is only pawn

Anupama also said that MLA Parameshwar Naik is only a pawn and is not that bad. “He too is treated unfairly like me. Director General (DG) sent me to OOD (On Official Duty) against norms. The possibility of Parameshwara Naik exerting his pressure in my transfer is less. There are influential people in it. Let DG and Parameshwar Naik expose their names” she said.

Complaint to women commission

“I have written a detailed letter to Manjula Manasa, chairperson of the Karnataka State Commission for Women" Anupama Shenoy said in anguish.

She asked if the concerned do not have enough guts to face a former female police officer. “Let your campaign be against me. Do not harass my family” she said addressing the unnamed persons.

Facebook

Speaking on some posts seen in Facebook social media about her resignation, she said “Facebook does not have code of conduct. Facebook has not humiliated me as much as the police department has done. However I believe that Facebook has brought about improvements in the society,”

Future plans

Shenoy said that she will either become a lecturer or do NGO work in future. “I became police officer on my own wish. I feel that I was created for police uniform. I will not enter politics,” she said.

    Mr. Ali,

We need a sincere Police officer like her.

Be proud about her being a Mangalorean instead of passing silly comments.

What you know about sincere officers?

Don't bring dirty Politics in Sincere Officers life.

We all will say she should have stayed in the office and fought back. We forget sometimes that we have all limit and cannot tolerate if it exceeds. Same thing would have happened to her. Let us respect her decision because her life is also involved. Whatever happened is for good. All the best for Anupama Shenoy.

Great decision - I appreciate the decision taken by her - going to education field / lecturer or joining a N.G.O., not going to join politics. I would rather suggest,( if her financial strength permits) to complete Law degree and become a advocate. With this she become more powerful and lead her future life more respectively. I special wish / prayers always there in this line.

Police is the highly corrupt department like revenue. One with clean background will not succeed in this department. Because the good officer will be separated from rest of the group sooner or later. And that is the law of nature.

Anupama Shenoy has done blunder by resigning in a haste. She should have fought against interference by political stooges by being within and not by going out. There are lot of hindrances in being a govt servant especially in police dept. There are lot of people in that dept to do service with dancing to the tunes of political corrupt leaders.
    World is like that....
Anupama should join service with any corporates insecurity dept.Banks have great need of such service at HQ/Regional level. All the best...

Of course, she would have gained more popularity and won public support had she fought against all evils by remaining in the department. The people would have known the actual culprits who have impeded her from carrying out her duties. She should have better faced suspension instead of submitting resignation.

    People,

She(Ms Shenoy) got what she wanted...sent Parameshi home...Now new Home Minister can take her back...other wise she could cause more harm to CONgress...

In my opinion...if a man fights a woman...man is likely to loose...so better avoid it..

See Naika now, looks like 'Ingu tinda mangaa'...
