Kundapur: World Yoga day celebrated at MIT

Kundapur, Jun 21: Moodlakatte Institute of Technology, here observed world yoga day with demonstrations of Yoga Asanas on June 21.




Chief guest Vidwan Madhava Adiga and guests V Prabhakara Aithal and Vijaya Acharya took part in the celebrations.

Madhava Adiga said that World Yoga day should not be confined to one day. “Yoga should be exercised everyday and everybody should benefit from it,” he said. College principal Dr Mohandas Bhat in his
presidential address explained the importance of yoga in day to day life. “The programme is held in order to create awareness about yoga," he said. He thanked those who helped in the programme.

Programme organizer Dr Arun Kashi present on the dais welcomed the guests. Librarian Jagadish compered the programme and proposed the vote of thanks. Vijaya Acharya and V Prabhakara Aithal demonstrated yoga asanas at the end of the programme. All the teaching and non teaching staff participated in it.
