St Ann’s College of Education celebrates International Yoga Day

Mangaluru, Jun 21: International Yoga day was celebrated at St Ann’s College of Education on June 21. The event started by invoking the Almighty and instructions from the physical director Suresh Kumar T.





A group of fifty BEd students and faculty participated in the same.

Student president Anna Una Crasta gave the highlights of International Yoga day. Prior to yoga day, students were briefed about the same by the physical director. Student teachers enthusiastically performed various asanas like Surya Namaskara, Pranayama, Pavanamukthasana, Bhujangasana, Vrukshasana, Ushtraasana etc. The significance of each asana and its benefits were made known to the students.

Principal Dr Sr Clare AC in her address said that yoga is a simple way of enhancing the quality of mind and body. It is the method to train the body and the mind for the all-round development of human personality.
