Tipper lorry hits bike at Manjeshwar, rider dies on way to hospital

Kasargod, Jun 22: In a collision that took place between a tipper lorry and a bike at Kadambar near Manjeshwar on the afternoon of Wednesday June 22, the bike rider died.

Abdul Razak Moulvi (40) from Machampady is the person deceased.

The deceased was the Ustad at a mosque at Manjeshwar Urni. He was coming by bike towards Hosangadi in the afternoon, while the speeding tipper lorry that arrived from opposite direction hit the bike.
Abdul Razak Moulvi who was seriously injured was rushed to Mangaluru hospital but he was declared dead on arrival.

Local people were angry that Manjeshwar police did not arrive even after two hours after the accident. Excessive speed of the tipper lorry is said to be the cause of the accident. Police have seized the lorry and registered a case against the driver.
