Udupi: Police arrest man wandering with pistol, live bullets

Udupi, Jun 22: DCIB police on June 22 arrested Raghavendra Kanchan (30), resident of behind Bailakere Geetha Mandira here when he was wandering around with a pistol and six live bullets.

The police, who arrested Raghavendra after getting definite information, have seized the pistol worth Rs 75,000 and six live bullets from the suspect near Bhujanga Park.

DCIB ASI Rosario D’ Souza, staff Ravichandra, Suresh, Chandra Shetty, Ramu Hegde, Raghavendra Uppunda, Praveen, Rajkumar, Shivananda, Dayananda, vehicle driver Raghavendra and Navinchandra conducted the operation under guidance from DCIB DySP S G Kumaraswamy.
