Bengaluru: New political party to be launched in Karnataka?

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (RJP)

Bengaluru, Jun 23: There is absolutely no connection between the new political party to be launched soon and the dissidence in Congress party after few ministers were sacked and few other aspirants were not inducted into the cabinet as expected. This idea of new political party is completely different and conceptualised much before the Cabinet reshuffle after- effects emerged. But yes, few of these dissidents will have wider choice this time in addition to BJP and Janatha Dal, if at all this new party is formed.

K S Puttannaiah, P Rajeev, Devanuru Mahadeva & S R Hiremath

Though no formal announcement regarding the launch of the party has been made yet, it is expected that the party will take off in July second week. The political party is believed to be the brainchild of progressive thinkers. Several progressive organisations are supporting the idea, it is gathered.

The proposed party has the backing of Swaraj Abhiyan, which was launched by Supreme Court lawyer Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav who were earlier part Aam Aadmi Party top brass.

A mega convention of civil society members has been scheduled to take place at Dharwad on July 9 and 10. A decision regarding the political party will be taken in this convention and an announcement too to this effect will be made, it is learnt.

The party will be led by K S Puttannaiah an MLA from Melkote, P Rajeev an MLA Kudachi, famous Kannada Dalit writer Devanuru Mahadeva and anti-corruption activist S R Hiremath.

They are trying to play spoil sport!
If they become MLA's, If there is hung assembly, they will try to sell themselves at best possible rate!

The state government headed by B. S. Yeddyurappa of the BJP, requiring the support of a group of legislators aligned with Reddy, was in a precarious position in mid-2009.In a compromise with Yeddyurappa, the Reddys forced the removal of Karnataka minister Shobha Karandlaje and chief secretary V.P. Baligar, and obtained ministerial berths for themselves.

In August 2011, D. V. Sadananda Gowda of the BJP succeeded Yeddyurappa as chief minister of Karnataka and did not include the Reddy brothers in his cabinet of ministers. Subsequently, Yeddyurappa broke away from the BJP to form his own party, the KJP. The Reddy brothers broke away to form BSR Congress with B. Sriramulu.

Rebel leader B Sriramulu, a close associate of jailed mining baron G Janardhana Reddy, floated a new political party 'Badavara Shramikara Raitara Congress'
in Karnataka, three days after BJP suspended six of its elected representatives including two MPs for anti-party activities.

The Rs 5,000 crore that the Reddys salted away is of little use who spent Golden Age in Iron Cage.

In the last assembly poll results show that in at least 100 assembly constituencies, the combination of Yeddy’s Karnataka Janata Paksha [Party] and BSR Congress [the Benami party financed by the obnoxious Bellary gangster Reddy siblings] split the votes to help the Congress win. In a nutshell, in real terms, had the Reddy brothers [one of whom allegedly made the prosecutors compromise their own case for obtaining bail in the original coal-gate scandal.

Later both founder of Karnataka Janata Paksha (KJP) party yeddy broke the 'Coconut' serve BJP Sambar,While Sriramalu turned his 'Fan' towards BJP.

This party of dissident is another 'Karnataka jackass party' to split the vote in favor of BJP to retain state.

Kannadigas will be the ultimate sufferers.
