Hassan, Jun 23: Youngsters fought among themselves at KSRTC bus stand in the city on Tuesday June 21 evening, leaving passengers and others at the bus stand surprised and helpless.

Three youngsters suffered injuries in the fight. They have been identified as Sudeep, Sunil, and Hemant, from the city. The police rushed to the spot and admitted injured into hospital. By then the others had taken to their heels.

Dhanush from K Byadarahalli near here and Sunil, living in Vijayanagara extension here, both of whom are college students, had differences over a girl. They had fought on this issue sometime back. On Tuesday evening, Dhanush was speaking with his friends at the bus stand when Sunil came there and began to quarrel. When the quarrel was about to turn physical, Dhanush conveyed information over phone to his elder brother, Sudeep. Sudeep rushed to the bus stand with a friend, Hemant, and hit Sunil. At this, Sunil reportedly drew out a knife and stabbed Sudeep in the abdomen. Hemant, who tried to save Sudeep, suffered injuries to his hand. Sunil too was injured in this incident, police said.

As blood flowed inside the bus stand as a result of this incident, passengers stayed away, and turned mute spectators. A case about the incident was registered in K R Puram extension police station. Although no CCTVs are provided at this bus stand, which is touted as a modern one, some footage captured over mobile cameras made the rounds over WhatsApp on Wednesday.

Just watch TV9, full fighting scene on middle of road and front of people. I think people watching like they are viewing some movie shooting. Shame on people. They are just mute spectators, spineless. Nobody coming forward to stop this fight.
