Udupi: Sorake allays talk of rebellion - pledges to serve constituency

Udupi, Jun 24: "I have been always a sincere activist of Congress party. I have grown over the years because of the Congress, which provided me with opportunities to grow in stature. Therefore, I can never think of rebellion against the party leadership. In the remaining two years of my assembly membership, I will serve the people and discharge duty to organize and strengthen the party as a devoted activist, even after these two years," said former state minister and Kaup MLA, Vinay Kumar Sorake.

Sorake was speaking to media persons after pacifying large number of protesting Congress activist, people's representatives, and fans who had gathered in front of Rajiv Bhavan at Kaup on Thursday to register their anger at dropping Sorake from the state ministry.

Sorake concurred that he has not been informed why he was dropped from the ministry. He added that he does not want to blame anyone for this development. "I have sought clarifications from our leaders on this issue, and will consider further steps after I get answers," he added. When questioned about the rumour that the government had spied his actions as per some WhatApp messages, he dismissed them as mere rumours.

"There is nothing wrong in Billava community coming together to hold protest when the community faces injustice. However, I do not want to pass any comment about this," he said. His followers and fans withdrew the protest at Sorake's insistence.

Party leaders, Naveenchandra Shetty, Sudhir Hegde, Kaup Diwakar Shetty, Wilson Rodrigues, Sarasu D Bangera, Geetha Wagle, and scores of others were present.

    Dear Mr. Sorake,
    We have observing your continuous good work for Udupi district and Kaup constituency. Definitely there is a conspiracy. Might be we coastal Karnataka are not getting enough due share of our rights and you might be one of the ministers who are fighting for it.

    Might be your loyalty to Congress party might have itching to, CM Siddu. He might be thinking, if Congress high command sacks him, how many of his chelas will come out with him in support to form a separate party. So in that game plan, you have lost your chair.

    In the long run, loyal committed workers have been rewarded. Definitely you will come out victorious. We are with you and wish you all the best.

    BJP govt at the centre is disaster. Prices are increasing, exports are decreasing, no jobs for qualified and skilled labour, manufacturing has come down, farmers are in distress, debts are increasing and our PM is busy visiting foreign countries without any result. People are still waiting for Ache din. People have opened bank accounts and waiting for the credit promised by PM.

    Non stop comedian of the Cong high command is missing. Siddu will lose his chair soon. Sorake being sentimental is not goin to help. His or Cong supporters can sit back and watch 'Rahul Gandhi with Jackie Shroff' video for enlightenment.

    @ Nagesh Nayak for kind info congress party is not a falthu fek party like your BJP , congress is good enough to handle situations of such kind and see the number leaders we have so these are happening its not a big issue. here money is not playing a major role for buying and selling ministries like Mr Yeddy did...
    if Sonia or rahul travel u have problem that to in their personal money but wen feku Modi is travelling in our money with nothing useful output and dum ppl hype as if he has done some great achievement its so funny...
