Mangaluru: Baliga murder - Prime accused Naresh Shenoy arrested in Kerala?

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Jun 24: In what could be a major breakthrough, the Mangaluru city crime branch (CCB) police have reportedly arrested Naresh Shenoy, the prime accused in the murder of RTI activist Vinayak Baliga.

Sources said that the special investigative team from Mangaluru arrested Shenoy in Kerala on the night of Thursday June 23.

Unconfirmed sources said that Shenoy has been brought to Mangaluru and is currently being interrogated. Another source said that he has already been produced in the court.

However, the arrest has not been officially confirmed. No details of the arrest or the exact place and time of the arrest are known yet. When contacted, police commissioner Chandra Sekhar denied the arrest and also said that Shenoy had not surrendered.

It may be mentioned here that on an earlier occasion, rumours were rife that Shenoy would be appearing in the court, but he did not.

RTI activist Vinayak Baliga was murdered on the morning of March 21. Ever since, Naresh Shenoy, leader of Yuva Brigade, has been absconding and lookout notices were also issued against him. He has been named prime accused in the chargesheet.

NAMO founder arrest will give unrepairable damage to the PM Modi's image. For this reason he is deliberately kept away from national and International media.
It will even give tough time to local politician.

Even if he is arrested he will be presented with black ski mask. His supporters will shoo the media or will be issuing threats for airing or publishing.

The high command will ask for bail to be kept and the pro Sangh lawyers will do the rest getting 'Clean chit'.

Next he will see hero's welcome. The media will be penalised.

This is another Indrani Mukherjee case of Mangalore(Smart city) version. One should thank law and order department for unique ability.

Nareshji has been successful so far by evading arrest. During this time he had surely scripted the escape route from baliga murder charge. Many lawyers at the highest level have given plans to come out clean. Killing takes short time but to prove a crime takes many many years. Speedy justice just a dream.

Hi Sathish, Even we (Balig's family) are also keen to know arrest confirmation as well. Police can't disclose at the early stage even if he was arrested. On the other hand police discloses that doesn't mean that he was arrested very recently. always there could be little delay as part of disclosure process. I understand your feelings and support. Thank you

It was a few years ago I had voiced my concern with regard to Mangalore becoming a den for robbers, thieves, murderers like U.P. & Bihar. There is no limit for for anti-social elements in these states. At every kilometer or two there is a police chowki ( police booth) The place I am in right now has a District Head Quarter of the Police,10 police stations and 20 police booths within a radius of 10 kilometers. Even then there are so many theft cases, robberies, fights taking place, and killings. Police have become day & night of the criminals. The same case is of Mangalore if not fully, at least partially. The days will not be far off where and when criminals will not allow sincere police to protect the innocent, poor and truthful citizens. This is & will be mainly due to our political system which has received transmission from the North, destroying the very basic moral and ethical value of politics. Even the religious intolerance has lots to contribute to it.
May God save our Mangalore and our country.

We are in commercial world, all leaders including political, religious, have the attitude of "use and throw" as they are powerful and always have followers due to their power clout.

Naresh will be out of name and fame. Now, nobody will take care of him as he might be a liability for their growth and the leaders job has been done.

Watch my words, he will be lonely fighting his own battle and cannot open his mouth. Naresh has finished his own career. Definitely the blood of innocent Vinayak Baliga is crying for justice.
