Bengaluru, Jun 25: Livid at former union minister and senior Congress leader, Jaffer Sharief's criticism of chief minister, Siddaramaiah, over the handling of ministry reorganization, MLC, Rizwan Arshad, came down heavily on the veteran leader. He branded Jaffer Sharief as a person whose existence is of no consequence for the Congress.

"Jaffer went to the houses of people deprived of ministerial berths without being extended any invitations, and without any provocation, issued statements against the chief minister. During this holy month of Ramzan, one expects him to visit mosques, offer prayers there and stay at home. As a senior leader of the party, he should provide guidance to juniors like us. He is wrong in making utterances against the chief minister instead," Rizwan felt.

He reiterated that Sharief has reached an age in which he needs to confine himself to offering of namaz and staying at home. He felt that the leader was wrong in talking lightly of the chief minister and other leaders. He questioned Jaffer's intention in visiting the houses of people who were aspiring to become ministers, uninvited.
