Each home with four walls, each community of men and women of all ages, cultures, colors and religions all over India have one simple resolution to bear in mind, and that is the eradication of any temptation for drugs.

Drugs is the most volatile and dangerous disease that can virtually destroy the entire nation, nation that has won the freedom out of so many struggles and determinations.

The world admires India not only for their democratic values and secular values, but also their family values thru which they have survived for 70 years of freedom.

Our population of 300 million in the year of 1947 has now risen to 1300 million. Our daily needs and wants have quadrupled whereas our national resources have not risen to that extent.

India as an exemplary nation will always be a 'deficit' nation due to our growing population where our per capita income will always have to struggle with never-ending problems.

The best means of survival for India is to strive for a 'drug free' nation in spite of all our daily problems. Each and everyone of us have the shared responsibility to shoulder. Our Temples, Mosques and Temples have to preach and practice our sense of determination. Our Schools, Colleges and Universities have to broadcast every day the lessons of self determination. Our villages, towns and Cities have to publicize the dangers that confront us.

Anti-drug movement is therefore a necessity of our time that can save the generations from all the possible dangers. We have seen the real danger of drugs by being in the most prosperous nation of the world. Therefore, please, please do everything possible to educate one another in our daily needs and wants and keep the drug addiction far far away from each and everyone of us. "Dhanyawadh".

Humble thanks to the management to invite me as the guest of honour. Privilege to be with young brains. It's the need of hour. Great initiative to spread awareness about substance abuse. Want to re-assure that de-addiction is possible. Parents, students, faculty, all citizens should help the victims who are miserably trapped in this dangerous vicious cycle. It needs professional help with clinical psychologists for a gradual withdrawal of any substance abuse, added with psychological counseling.
Prevention is better than cure. Be smart don't start.

Good initiative by Vikas college. But student who attended the programme are mostly not involved in drug abuse. The addicted students never attend these type of programme. They just bunk and go in search of drugs. Always keep a eye on these students and their activities. It is not easy to stop their habits. First thing is catch the drug mafia who are behind students.
