'Ek aslyar ek na' was a pleasant surprise for us here in doha. We got to enjoy the creative genius of Pradeep Barboza in its full glory on a huge high resolution screen with digital sound. While witty dialogues and suspense kept us on the edge of the seat, Vanil's music and Prajoth's singing just added to the grandeur. Priya stole a few hearts while Pradeep, Mellu, John Dsilva and Laveena succeeded in bringing alive the flavor of Tea and buns and everything that Moodbidri has to offer.

Unlike what I had heard, Pradeep fits the hero's role very well. A chocolate face would have made more commercial sense but, Pradeep does a better job as he knows the soul of the story. He probably turns out to be Konkani's Amir Khan. Thanks to the local organizers. It was better than sitting through the usual music shows.
