50 Cent arrested, granted bail for indecent language

St. Kitts, Jun 27 (IANS): Rapper 50 Cent, also known as Curtis Jackson, was formally charged and cautioned for using indecent language during at a music concert here.

He was granted bail for the equivalent of $1,800, reports eonline.com.

In a video shared on Instagram, fans can see and hear the rapper using explicit language while performing on Saturday night.

According to the rapper's representative, 50 Cent went to court, paid a fine and has headed home to the US.

"Mr. Jackson was only booked to host the show, when he arrived at the festival organisers asked him to perform, he obliged and used the DJ they had there," his representative said in a statement.

"Unfortunately, they didn't have the clean version to his tracks, so there were profanities used during his performance."

However, the representative said that the "show was a great success".

"The show was a great success and he will make sure for future trips to St. Kitts that he leaves the 'motherf*****s' in the United States," the statement concluded.
