Mangalore, Nov 12: Daya Kirodian, the co-founder of Billawa Balaga Dubai was honoured by All-India Billawa Balaga recently when the former was in the city on a visit. Krishnappa Kotian, senior member of All-India Billawa Union felicitated Daya on behalf of the Balaga.

M Mohandas General Secretary of Akila Bharat Billawa Union welcomed Daya Kirodian and K A Rohini, General Secretary of Billawa Mahila Sangha made the introduction speech.

Navinchandra D Suvarna, of the Union and Sumalatha N Suvarna, president of the Billawa women's wing who were present on the occasion spoke and appreciated Daya Kirodian for his yeoman's service to Billawa community.  K Loknath too hailed Daya Kirodian and Sudhakar Thumbay who played a key role in establishing a base for Billawas in Dubai.

Accepting the honour Daya thanked all those who have stayed in thick and thin with him in the task of carrying on the welfare activities within Billawa community in particular and society at large in Dubai as well as in his native.
