Mangaluru, Jun 28: In an incident which occurred near Pandith House, Ullal, on Monday January 27, a gang attacked a youth and two others. Reportedly, the gang' s attack was in retaliation for questioning its members four years back about something they had posted on the internet about a girl.

Ritesh and Sunil from Santosh Nagara and Yajnesh from Kody Kotepura were injured in this incident. The attackers have been identified as Abhi, Pavan, Chinnu and Yathin, residents of Pandith House. They hit the above three persons with stones, as per report.

A case about the incident was registered in Ullal police station.

Reportedly, Yathin had posted some objectionable content on the internet about a lady who happened to be the daughter of a relative of Ritesh. Ritesh had questioned Yathin about this post and issued warning. The gang nursed a grudge on this count, and tried to take revenge by waiting for the trio near Pandith House Bakery and attacking them.

Ritesh and Yajnesh, whose nature of injuries are grave, are being treated in hospital. Ullal police, who have registered a case, are investigating the matter.
