Sharjah, Jun 28: 'Vocal Touch', a voice workshop was organized in Sharjah by St Michael’s Mangalorean Konkani Community (SMMKC) on Saturday, June 25 at the parish hall.

The workshop began with a welcome by Preema D’Souza followed by a prayer and inaugural message by Fr Maxim Pinto, spiritual director of SMMKC Sharjah.Children enjoyed the programme and wanted to spend more time learning from the master. During the workshop, Jossie Moras taught children the correct posture and breathing technique required for singing. He also taught them different exercises to improve their tone and diction, together with warm-up exercises for the vocal chords and the mouth muscles.

Members of Melodia Voice Studio Jeevan Edward Vas, Sabita Mathias, Floyd Rego and others presented beautiful songs to the children during the programme and left them in awe of their performances.

The 3-hour successful workshop ended with a vote of thanks from Godwin D’Souza.
