Bengaluru, Jun 29: Prima facie, the things left behind by senior IAS officer, Kapil Mohan, at the offices of Lokayuktha inspector general of police, Pranab Mohanty, and superintendent of police, Abdul Ahad, contained among others, crystal particles. Both these officers in their preliminary reports submitted to Lokayuktha additional director general of police, Parashiva Murthy, which included statements of Lokayuktha staff who were present when the incident occurred, made the above revelation, it is gathered.
As crystals are also associated with black magic, many have expressed suspicion about malafide intention playing a role in this development. On Tuesday, there were rumours that Kapil Mohan had taken recourse to sorcery to come out of problems. Powder samples have been sent to forensic laboratory, and once the result is received, the officials will be able to throw more light on the episode, it is believed.
In the meanwhile, Kapil Mohan, who currently heads Karnataka Administrative Tribunal, said in a letter addressed to Lokayuktha, which was delivered by an employee of his office, that he had come to the office as per notice issued for his presence, but he had to return as the officers concerned were not present. However, Lokayuktha sources said that Mohan had been asked to be present for investigation before June 23 but he came on June 27 without prior arrangement.
