Bengaluru: Indirect support from powerful people gives rise to drug mafia

Daijiworld Media Network–Bengaluru (EP)

Bengaluru, Jun 30: As per police sources there is indirect support from influential people behind transport and sales network of heroin, cocaine and other drugs in the state. Though the entire system does not support it, there is a blessing of some customs and police officials in it. Some politicians also play a significant role here.

The sources state that it is otherwise not easy to make the items reach the sales dens of the mafia through sea, air, bus and train routes without the help of concerned officials.

The people in the trade are specialised in their trade unlike small criminals. Children of higher government officials and politicians are their permanent customers.

The kingpins of the network known as white collar criminals in the police terminology first contact the children of police officials and politicians. They introduce themselves as real estate and cinema financiers and develop friendship. Once the friendship becomes thick, they accompany the victims to bar, pub and night parties giving a taste of drugs and include the victims with them.

They spread their net with the acquaintance of the children of police officials and politicians and form a group for the purpose. It is difficult to come out of the habit after addiction. Therefore those who get stuck in the net, add as many friends of them as possible in the group.

If drugs being sold in Karnataka are compared, those that are being seized by the police and customs officials are only between 3 to 5 per cent of the total trade. The remaining contraband up to 95% reaches their destination by air, bus and train under the protection of officials.

when there was the first outbreak of AIDS- people thought it is only affecting gay people. Then came the druggies who shared needles. Then it was the non risk general population that was getting infected through blood transfusion, through their partners etc.

We seem to have turned a blind eye to drug menace as something that afflicts "others" and general public is in deep slumber. With drug menace comes break down in values , violence against women. All school children should be considered vulnerable. Parental neglect to giving everything to the child makes the child unprepared for the stresses of higher studies or dealing with job stress.

You may get your child to be an IT profession . But if the IT professional cannot handle stress, disappointment, rejection - will it not make this person vulnerable to seek escape via drugs? Recent 2 wheeler accidents in Bangalore indicate that youth after parties drive rashly , do not wear helmets and pay with their lives. If they were under the influence of drugs - " a boy/girl from cultured nice middle class family" dying in a road accident- is not an accident if they were under the influence of drugs.

The danger from drugs to the erosion of society is real and therefore we cannot use wait and watch approach but nip the organized trade from its roots. This threat is serious national threat that will undermine the country in the years to come if we do not act now.

prostitution, corruption, drugs is a very old profession since centuries no country on the earth is free from this menace. Even a country which has a strict capital punishment to those involved in this acts is not exceptional, people aware that smoking cigarette is injuries to health still people smoke. People are educated, every one knows the consequences of drugs still they venture in to this, no body to blame for this. People are educated why you blame politicians, police or any other group when one do not have control on his own life this type of tragedy is bound to happens

f there is no LAW..to nab and Lynch the carrier.. the brain.the drugLords..Mafias along with al their God fathers..finaceirs should be caught and eliminate don the spot..
Law will follow later as usual.
Since they dealers do not know of the consequences ..this is not a controlled substance by prescription.
This destroys.the Individual.the family member.the love done.causing great Trauma..anxiety.pain and sufferings and financial crisis. by this Drug abuse.
    It destroys Homes.
so , simply the JANATHA should all stand up catch every individual ..catch then red handed all of them and finish them.
This is the only Remedy of elimination.

It is but true that " Rich n Famous " are the ones who get trapped in to these Drug mafia. They have ill gotten money of parents, which can be easily spent on these and other major vices in life. It will be very difficult to reach roots of these coz when you ( Police Force ) try to touch " tip of the ice burg " you will have warning calls saying " woh hamara aadmi hey, usko chodh dho." !! yet another call might come saying " yeh dekho wo aadmi ko kuch math karro " !!
Our systems work this way. Unless our systems get transparent, we will have all these things happening & no body can do a thing about this.

How about this ......Seize all those drugs and force those 'influential people's' family members (wife, children, parents, relatives etc) to consume it and make them complete drug addicts that way 2 problems solved in one go.....1) Profits for those who allow the drugs to be sold 2) Public will be saved from such evil
