When Vidya received wishes on National Doctors' Day


Mumbai, Jul 2 (IANS): Actress Vidya Balan, who played a gynaecologist in the Amitabh Bachchan-starrer "Paa", was surprised when she received wishes on National Doctors' Day.

Sharing an image of Bollywood stars including Amitabh, Shah Rukh Khan and Vidya, a Twitter user posted on July 1, observed as National Doctors' Day: "Happy #doctorsday to our Hindi film industry's honourable Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Vidya Balan, A.R. Rahman, Akshay Kumar."

She replied saying: "Haha never thought I'd get wished Happy Doctors' Day."

Vidya was conferred with a Doctor of Arts Honoris Causa degree by an Ahmedabad-based institute Rai University to appreciate her contribution to Indian cinema and for her endeavour to bring out the strong side of a woman via the silver screen.

Asha Bhosle bumps into her 'favourite' Aishwarya

Legendary singer Asha Bhosle was all smiles when she ran into her favourite people including actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

The singer, who has sung for the former beauty queen in films including the hit film "Taal", tweeted an image featuring the duo along with a friend.

"You never know who you are going to bump into in NYC. With two of my favourite people," Asha Bhosle captioned the image.

Ali, Zareen 'painting the town red'

Actors Zareen Khan and Ali Fazal are 'chilling' and exploring Georgia where they will shoot for a video together.

The duo will feature in the video of the recreated version of the retro song, "Pyaar maanga hai".

"Painting the town red. Actually chhota desh hai (it's a small country). Day 1 Pyaar Maanga Hai," Ali tweeted on Saturday.

The actor also shared a video in which the duo are seen expressing their happiness as they will be soon shooting in Georgia. "Today we are just chilling and exploring Georgia. We will set the stage on fire tomorrow," he said in the video.
