Mangaluru, Jul 2: Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah has appointed Ivan D'Souza as ruling party Congress chief whip in the State Legislative Council with effect from Saturday, July 2.
In a communication addressed to D H Shankaramurthy the chairman of the legislative council, the chief minister has informed him about the appointment.
He will take over the charge on Monday July 4, it is reported.
