Kasargod, Jul 3: Badiadka police, on Saturday July 2, arrested three thieves who had stolen areca nuts and other agricultural produce from a house. The thieves had driven a rented Innova car to transport the stolen items.
Abdurehman (58) from Nelikatte, Umarul Farooq (44) from Jokatte, Mohammed Hanif (45) from Ullal are the persons arrested.
The trio had stolen from Yusuf’s shed at Baradka near Badiadka on June 23. When they were loading the stolen areca nuts and other items into the car, the people at Yusuf’s house woke up. The thieves had fled immediately. But the RC of the car had fallen on the road when they moved the vehicle in a hurry.
Based on the RC, the police started the investigation and came to know that the thieves had taken the car on rent from Ullal.
Abdurrehman has cases registered against him in many police stations in Kasargod and Dakshina Kannada districts.
