Mangalore: Children's Day-out at Vijaya Karnataka Office - 'Muddu Kanda' Award Presented

Mangalore, Nov 15: The office of ‘Vijaya Karnataka’, a leading Kannada daily, located at Bangra Kuloor, on National Highway 17, was full of children on Wednesday November 14. The children rushed to the office, in order to attend the prize distribution ceremony of ‘Ideal Muddu Kanda Competition.’, sponsored by the maker of popular Ideal Ice Cream in the city.

Prabhakar Sharma, headquarter's assistant at Deputy Commissioner office presided over the function.

Speaking on this occasion, he said that, the parents should take the responsibility of developing the inner beauty of children along with their external beauty. The thought process of the children has been changing in the modern era. The parents should take this into consideration, while guiding their children, he advised.

Ganesh S Rao, chairman of Karavali Group of Institutions, Mukund Kamath, managing director of Ideal Ice Cream, Ashok Kumar, president of Dakshina Kannada District Photographers’ Association and secretary Damodar were present on this occasion.

Krishna Bhat, senior sub-editor of Vijaya Karnataka, welcomed the gathering. Resident editor U K Kumarnath delivered introductory note. Reporter Mohammed Arif Padubidri proposed vote of thanks. Ravindra Shetty compered the programme.
