JLo, Lin-Manuel Miranda team up for Orlando tribute song

Los Angeles, July 5 (IANS): Singer Jennifer Lopez and actor-composer Lin-Manuel Miranda are teaming up for a new song to benefit Orlando victims.

The "Booty" hitmaker and the "Hamilton" actor offered a snippet of their new song "Love Make the World Go Round" on Twitter on Monday, reports aceshowbiz.com.

"Me and Lin-Manuel Miranda working in studio on something very special," Lopez wrote alongside a behind-the-scenes video of her collaboration with Miranda.

On June 12, 2016, Omar Mateen, a 29-year-old American security guard, killed 49 people and wounded 53 others inside Pulse, a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida.

He was shot and killed by Orlando police after a three-hour standoff. It was both the deadliest mass shooting by a single gunman and the deadliest incident of violence against LGBT people in US history, as well as the deadliest terrorist attack in the country after the September 11 attacks in 2001.

Other stars like Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Caitlyn Jenner among others have previously paid tribute to the victims.
