Mangaluru: Hemanth Kumar elected president of Kanara Builders' Association

Mangaluru, Jul 7: B Hemanth Kumar, chairman of Chirag Mangalore Builders and Developers Pvt Ltd, has been unanimously elected president of Kanara Builders' Association (KBA) for the year 2016-18.

Rajendra Kalbavi has been elected secretary for the second term.

The election was conducted during the annual general body meeting held on July 5 at 7.30 pm.

The new office-bearers are as follows:

B Hemanth Kumar - President
Rajendra Kalbavi - Secretary
Prem Salian - Treasurer
Arun Raj - Vice President

Members: Umesh Prabhu, Yogesh Achar, Sathyaranjan Rao, Manjunath Revenkar, Bharath J, Sumith S Rao, Mahabala K.

Sudesh Kumar - Immediate past president

Hemanth Kumar is an engineer by qualification and builder by profession. His organization Chirag Mangalore Builders and Developers Pvt Ltd has attained good name in the city with residential and commercial multistoried buildings.

Hemanth Kumar is also very active in Lions movement through Lions Club Pandeshwar where he was the president and later went on to become the zonal and regional chairman covering 12 clubs in 317 D districts.

He will run the Association for 2 years wherein the president will represent many district level committees including the bylaws committee of MCC, sand committee, nefro-urology committee etc.
