Kasargod: Police arrest two persons for possessing ammunition

Kasargod, Jul 9: Adoor police, on July 8, near here arrested two persons for possessing live bullets used in country-made guns.

Vijay (29) and Bhaskar (35) are the persons arrested. Both of them are residents of Adoor.

When Vijay and Bhaskar were coming to Adoor from Sullia on a scooter, Adoor police stopped them to check as they had credible information about bullets. The police found live bullets in the possession of Vijay. He had kept the bullets inside his cloths wrapped in a plastic.

The duo is being subjected to interrogation.

The police sources said that the area has strong network of manufacturing country-made guns. Raw materials for the same are available only in bordering Karnataka state. Police are trying to bust the network.
