Daijiworld Media Network – Puttur (RJP)

Puttur, Jul 11: A woman jumped into a pond near her house on Saturday July 9 night, with her child which ended the lives of both.

The incident happened at Kuremajalu of Mundur village near here. Vedavathi (26) and her son Manish (2) are the deceased.

As per details of the case, Vedavathi had been married to Satish Poojary for three years and Manish was born after a year of marriage. On Saturday night all the family members were watching television at home. At one point Satish, Vedavathi and Manish went to the bathroom outside together. Satish returned after his bath. But Vedavathi and Manish were not to be seen.

When the family members and neighbours started searching, they found Vedavathi’s mobile phone near a stream. Then they searched for mother and child everywhere nearby and found the dead bodies in a pond. Fire brigade which arrived later managed to take the bodies from the pond.

No reason for the extreme step is known yet. A case stands registered at Puttur rural police station. Mahesh Prasad, the inspector from Puttur town police station, is in charge of investigations.

It is a very suspicious case.Husband returns but wife along with child jumped into the pond. What made her to jump all of a sudden. Husband must have pushed her into the pond and acting like a innocent person. This case should be investigated properly.

Here is something doubtful.when three of them had gone to bath ,only husband Comes back .was husband not interested or worried about wife?something must have gone wrong in bathroom,he must have thrown Bodys in Pond and finished his bath and came back as if nothing happened. He must have placed the phone near her.(noone thinks of placing phone when jump in)Later he must have given Alarm to be a innocent.Just investigate the Body if still there for any marks on her Body.when wife wants to suicide doesn't go to bathroom with Baby.were the Body's Floating or in water?there is the truth.may their souls rest in peace.Dont believe the husband.

This does not looks like suicide. They went for bath together and Satish returned alone. This gives a suspicious. something has gone wrong. satish should be interrogated for truth.
