Dubai: Lancy Pinto Nayak holds training workshop on dramatics for Famad Pernal team

Dubai, Nov 18: In what was a most practical training workshop on acting and stage performance, Lancy Pinto Nayak gave his most valuable training to some of the promising talents from Pernal parish, the Pokri Pernal troupe. More than thirty-five enthusiastic youngsters took part in this workshop.

The event was held on Friday, November 17 at Vincy D’Souza’s residence and began at 10 am with a prayer by Lawrence Correa. Dinesh Correa welcomed the gathering and introduced the resource person.  The event was then inaugurated by lighting candle. 


Lancy Pinto Nayak, winner of numerous awards and prizes for his plays and other Konkani works, took over by holding various interactive sessions such as public speaking, memorization, eye contact, facial expression, voice modulation, pitch maintenance, clarity of voice, drama ethics and stage possession.  There were some group competitions whereby each group came on stage and performed a skit, followed by comments and corrections on their presentation which was most helpful to all actors.  Lancy Pinto, a student of ‘Ninasam’, one of Karnataka’s professional drama troupe hailing from Heggodu, gave some precious points during the question and answer session towards the end.




Eric Ozario, Gurkar of Mandd Sobhann ® , Vitori Karkol and Stany Alvares joined the team for the afternoon session and appreciated the efforts of Lancy Pinto Nayak in training youngsters and motivating them.  Breakfast and lunch were served during the full day event which concluded at 6 pm with a vote of thanks by president Vincy Lobo.

    A training workshop on dramatics for Famad Pernal team by Shri Lancy Nayak is noteworthy. Lancy Nayak is a colourful personality with multi talents would have definitely made an impression on Pokri Pernal team members on stage performance and that should surely reflect in their future performances. While thanking Lancy Nayak for his selfless service to Konkani cause, I wish good luck to Pokri Pernal team members to strive harder to reach greater heights and achieve success in all their forthcominig cultural events in Dubai and make all pernalkars proud.
