Mangaluru, Jul 14: Thieves struck a retired official's house at Netravati layour in Capitanio for the fourth time in a span of one-and-a-half years. The incident came to light on Thursday July 14.

The theft was reported at the residence of P Narayanan, retired chief administrative officer of Legal Services Authority.

Before this, thieves had broken into Narayanan's house in February and August 2015, and once again in February this year.

Last time, the thieves had stolen valuables, but this time they could not find anything of value despite ransacking the house.

It is learnt that Narayanan is originally from Payannur in Kerala, and after being burgled three times, he had kept all his valuables in his house at his native town.

A CCTV was also installed, but due to technical issues, it was not functioning.

No one was at home at the time of the theft.

Mangaluru rural police have registered a case.
