Udupi: In a novel initiative, the Udupi police will launch a special drive ‘Operation Suraksha’ to reduce the number of road accidents taking place on National Highway 66.

The drive will be held from July 18 till August 17.

Accordingly, the police will inspect vehicles in the mornings and evenings on all days and anyone found violating traffic rules would be booked under the Indian Motor Vehicles Act.

Several awareness programmes will be held on the occasion, said Superintendent of Police, Annamalai in a press release.

    RIP...
Now it is time to invent better outfit better than helmet to protect head and body. How about about outfits made with rubber filled with air that acts like springs making minimum impact on collision?
