DySP Ganapati family will not co-operate with CID, judicial probe

Madikeri, Jul 19: The family of DySP M K Ganapati on Monday decided not to cooperate with the CID and judicial probe relating to the suicide of Ganapati.

The family members had come together to participate in the 11th day ritual of Ganapati. Incidentally the court direction to file FIR against K J George and other two senior police officers also came on the same day. George also resigned later.

“The judicial enquiry will not bring out the truth. We will not extend cooperation to the CID and judicial enquiry. We want CBI probe,” Ganapati's father Kushalappa said on Monday.

The CID team visited Ganapati’s house in Rangasamudra near Kushalnagar to record the statement of Pavana, Ganapati's wife and their son Nehal on Monday. It is said that the team was sent back as the mother and son were not ready to talk to the CID.

Pavana has already provided answers to the 3-page questions sent by the CID. She has told the CID officials that she will not allow them to conduct an investigation in her residence in Mangaluru. Pavana stays in Mangaluru and had said that she would come back there to stay with her sons after the 11 days rituals. She has demanded that the case be handed over to CBI. She had also said that she would write a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi complaining about state government's refusal to handover the case to central agency.

    MY Suggestion why not give it Scotland Yard since they are the Best. Forget CID and CBI ..Since Our PM is already Popular internationally his influence can get it for free. PHEEEWWWW...     The life style of late Dysp Ganapathy's wife will lead to lot of clue about his suicide.

    Only her neighbours can cast some light on it. Without knowing the facts, do not victimize the wrong person.

    I am sure police and CID's have already doing & done their homework with regard to this. This bitter truth may jeopardize some political party's wrong game plan.

    ... but can you assure that there won't be one more hara kiri by the self proclaimed patriot organizations or such other like minded political parties that - ganga become dirty & sinful due to George's supposedly alleged sins(though i don't vouch it till the truth comes out).

    At the same time, since Geographical proximity of honorable Ex Cabinet Minister George to your place of habitation., I wish you take such worthy privilege to advise him to cleanse himself from his alleged sins.

    Probably, there is something to hide before the investigating agency.
    Non co-operation means disrespect to the law of the land. It is equally important for the court to take cognizance of such action/attitude.
    While my sympathy & condolences go with the family, it is also but natural to guess that, ... Is family responding at the behest of somebody or a political outfit.

    No wonder sooner than later Mrs Ganapathi may join the electoral fray sooner than later after gaining popularity due to people's sympathy.

    I am only guessing..., may be wrong also.., time can only tell us the truth...,

    I support her right. And I believe, every individual and corporate body need to have the right to demand CBI inquiry. You remember well Interim Report of Somashekar report said one thing, and final report contradicted and negated all in the Interim Report. This Judicial probe can be a farce. Why go to Modi when he himself was accused of killing so many?

    Although the CID is under the control of the State Govt., it is generally felt that the Central Investigative Agency, the CBI is like a caged parrot, and is under the control of the ruling party at the Centre and there is a possibility of it acting in a biased/partial manner, if the concerned State is being ruled by a party which is not in good terms with the Central Govt.

    Hence, CBI has to be set free, so that it can conduct its investigations in a fair and impartial manner, and gain the confidence of the people of all states in the country, irrespective of party/religious/sectarian affiliation.

    The CID & THE JUDICIAL PROBE should on the basis of evidence collected from other sources finalize the report if the family fails to cooperate. Casting asperions on an independent enquiry cannot be accepted or tolerated. Such behaviour will end up in the "Tail wagging the Dog".
