Punjabi songs will always sound fresh: Sachin-Jigar

Mumbai, Jul 20 (IANS): Composer duo Sachin Sanghvi and Jigar Saraiya, who have worked on the music of “A Flying Jatt”, loved using Punjabi phonetics in the forthcoming film. They are of the opinion that Punjabi songs always sound fresh.

The movie is directed by Remo D'Souza, with whom Sachin-Jigar have earlier worked with for “ABCD” and its sequel. For those movies, they churned out experimental music, but in “A Flying Jatt”, they have created "fun filled" tunes which are as commercial "as was required".

“For kids and families, 'A Flying Jatt' is going to be a toast. So along with Remo sir, we have usually done experimental stuff like 'ABCD' and its sequel. But this time we have gone as fun-filled and commercial as was required,” Sachin told IANS.

“There is a love ballad that's our personal favourite and there's one bada** dance tune. These are quite mainstream. But more fun are the couple of songs that are so 'Panju' (Punjabi) in nature.

"It was great fun using these Punjabi phonetics. No matter how many Punjabi songs come through this language, they will always sound full of life and freshness,” Jigar added.

While the Indian superhero film has been choreographed and directed by Remo D'Souza, the film stars actors Tiger Shroff, Jacqueline Fernandez, Kay Kay Menon, Amrita Singh and professional wrestler Nathan Jones in lead roles.

The film is set to release on August 25.
