Yami Gautam to walk for Rimple, Harpreet Narula at ICW

New Delhi, Jul 20 (IANS): Bollywood actress Yami Gautam is set to walk for designer duo Rimple and Harpreet Narula at the FDCI India Couture Week (ICW) 2016, starting from Wednesday.

The five-day fashion gala will take place at the Taj Palace hotel here and the designer duo will showcase on the third day.

Apart from Yami, who will soon be seen sharing screen space with superstar Hrithik Roshan in the upcoming film "Kaabil", the designers have also styled the likes of names such as Nimrat Kaur, Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut and Kareena Kapoor Khan.

At ICW, Rimple and Harpreet will showcase their couture collection named Hiraeth, inspired by the late writer Khalil Gibran.

The collection will see a riot of motifs -- the French Paisley, Raj-era Manchester prints, Arabesque cartouches and flowering trellises, graphic geometrical forms from Uzbeki Suzanis, hunting scenes from Afghan carpets and Samarkand rugs, Byzantine mosaics, the Palampore “Tree of Life”, Mughal miniatures, towering minarets, divine dancers and birds and beasts.

The colour palette is how the day transforms itself flowing from ivory and antique gold to earthy marsala and midnight blue. The silhouettes includes regal cloaks, dramatic jackets and sheer robes.
