Puttur, Jul 25: Accidents have become common these days. We witness lot of inhuman behaviours like lack of respect for the accident victims. But an accident which took place on Saturday night at Uppinangadi has taught us few lessons on humanity and forgiveness.

Prashanth D’Costa was walking home after closing his office. As there was too much of mud on the roadside dumped by the road maintenance people, it was like a wet field. Prashanth could only walk on the edge of the road. It was also raining heavily and there was poor visibility. A car which came on the road hit Prashanth and he fell down. He had multiple injuries on his head, legs and hands.

The driver of the car Harsha saw Prashanth in the wet mud. He lifted Prashanth, took him in his car and admitted him into a private hospital in Uppinangadi. Harsha made sure that Prashanth got the necessary treatment and remained till he felt Prashanth was recovering.

Prashanth refused to lodge any police complaint regarding the accident after seeing Harsha’s humanity. Forgiveness was his answer.

Kailash Rajgopal Bhat and Hari Ramachandra also helped Prashanth.
