Why UPCL given so much prominence when the amount they donated is from CSR fund which is mandatory by law!?. UPCL is using this CSR thing to gain publicity and goodwill from all as they have plans approved for expansion. You have to go to the villages surrounding UPCL to see the difficulties faced by villagers and also compensation issues which are still pending!. Their expansion is going to increase the miseries further. Over that their gimmick of giving 24 hrs power to undivided DK is only keeping in mind expansion!. Once they have done, they will say that infrastructure is not good and hence cant give 24 hrs power!!!

Is 30 lakhs too small an amount to pay for the environmental damage and health effects caused ?? Why isn't a coal based power plant built in Hassan or Mysore?
