Heavy rain pounds Bengaluru, several areas flooded

Bengaluru, Jul 29 (Agencies): Overnight heavy rain caused heavy flooding across Bengaluru throwing life out of gear on Friday morning.

Many lakes breached their bund and overflew into nearby areas.

 

Madiwala lake has flooded parts of BTM layout. Many roads leading to Electronic city have come under water.

Disaster management teams have been deployed at Kodichikkanahalli to distribute food packets to residents who are stranded in their apartments.

Hebbugodi, Bellandur are areas which have been affected.

Waterlogging caused traffic snarls in parts of the city and vehicles struggled to navigate flooded roads.

    These rains are causing havoc in the city of Bengaluru. These pictures itself shows the people are going through in this flooded city. But in any case we need the rain and nobody can stop it. It is nature.

    It's the problem of builders/contractors who with the help of money construct structure where they want. No planning whatsoever. They even build up above flowing gutter...dumping mud in it.
    People prefer accomodation only in city..and not prefer to go far reason behind..overcrowded.
    In coming days..it's big menance for all. People cannot come out of there home for many days.
