Los Angeles, July 31 (IANS): American record producer and songwriter Mike Will Made It has praised singer Beyonce Knowles for "empowering her people" through her music.
The producer worked on "Formation" with Knowles and he is impressed that she uses both the lyrics and video for the song to protest against racial discrimination, reports billboard.com.
"She went out there and empowered her people. She is telling our people to be proud of our wide nostrils -- something Michael Jackson was so ashamed of, he changed his face," he said.
"She used 'Formation' to make people feel confident. That's the best history to be a part of," he added.
