Newly married lady goes missing - CCTV footage narrates different story

Daijiworld Media Network - Beltangady (SP)

Beltangady, Jul 31: A newly married lady, who had come to temple town Dharmasthala in the company of her husband to pay obeisance to the presiding deity, went missing. As per a complaint filed in Dharmasthala police station, the lady, identified as Anita from Bengaluru escaped with another person.

Anita had married Harish from Arehalli extension in Subrahmanyapura, Bengaluru 11 days back. The couple had arrived at Dharmasthala on July 28. Before entering the temple, Anita told Harish that she wanted to visit the washroom and left. She never came back.

After the family members complained, CCTV camera footage was verified. It showed that Anita, who had gone out in the guise of visiting the washroom, went near Lord Annappa Hill at Dharmasthala and travelled towards Bengaluru in a Maruti Alto car that was waiting for her there.

The police have registered a case. Investigation has been undertaken.

Having known girls links with a boyfriend, parents of the girl first persuade, then threaten and finally blackmail the girl. Girls usually say no first and then they come around. Until such time, boy friend never thinks anything of that sort can happen.

Once all is fixed, suddenly the boy friend gets threatened and starts telling the girl he will die without her. Girl convinces him to forget her as all preparations are done. But, he gets mad and acts mad. Girl now believes his love is true, but cant give up her parents as well.

The plan gets hatched and gets uted.

Thanks for many crime petrol serials.

Should it be Ekta Kapoor serial - then the boy who tied the knot also remains the same and one who she is running away with also becomes same. Such original and creative ideas can only originate in TV serials these days.

Have fun to watch both reality and un-reality. But sad that families gets involved in this tragic drama and have to pay for it for life long.

Marriage, running away with boy friend, dowry harassment complaint & taking divorce with taking money as compensation has become the business today in Mangalore. One should run away but not in the temple surrounding . This shows that the lady has no fear of any deity or God.
Such a lady must be punished with strict legal action. The God/deity will not forgive her for action.
The police has to take call records tower locations & previous relationships before marriage of the lady. If her parents and relatives are involved in making the marriage despite of knowing her illegal relationship then they should also be punished.
Harish must claim huge amount for the marriage expenses. One criminal and one civil case should be filed before the girl filing the dowry harassment complaint.

Indian law is blind as any runaway bride will file dowry harassment complaint and no evidence is need to file a false case. Police take years to give charge sheet and court take life time to complete the case.

Harish has to take legal action against the runaway bride. Before taking the divorce he must punish the wicked lady for her action so that in the future no one has to such a humiliating act in Mangalore. Why the Moral Police is silent to take action against her boy friend who had taken away the bride of other man in temple surrounding.

This shows effect of forced marriages.
We are proud of our culture, we dump the girls by force where she does not want to go. Did this girl had a chance to voice her's?
Dev Kumar asks here so many questions. I think he is capable to answer all those questions if his thinking is straight. Then too he can answer questions from another writer here with handle @gm,mlur. His questions are really relevant and one can know why this girl did what she did - elope.
Now a days one just can not get a girl married by force. If they do, then they have to face all these situation after marriage.

Feel sorry for Harish, but better for Harish, he will find a better life partner. One important step one need to understand and follow is that boy and girl must voluntarily agree for the marriage to avoid surprises

@Prem Moodbidri, implantation of a chip also doesn't solve Problems.when one want to slip off will just run away.Noone can make one to stay with handcuffs.Better dont bring a Girl /Boy from far whom you never know their character, habits.Better to marry willingly one you know.Am sure fellow is disappointed, but am sure he will find a better Girl next time. The one who ran away could have spared lot of shame and Money to her Family if she had denied the first marriage.and disappointment to her husband. He will never trust the next, and will be watching her constantly.

Gals from poor families are much aware there responsibility towards there family and duty towards there parents rather than educated gals.
We should proud of them much...inspite of lack of money..they are running there home successfully. Many gals forsaken there love for the benefit of parents and family. People who go against parents is curse to them in latter stage. If everybody decided what they need...a society would have not worked. After all it's wish of parents at the last...even though children's grow up...and achieved success in life.

    love and run case..!!

If she really want to go with that man who was waiting for her in the Alto car. Why she married with the other poor poor guy..!!? Why the guy in the car is not dare enough to prove their love with girls family before her marriage & avoid these shameless acts.
Other way of thinking is its the effect of giving more freedom to the girls in recent years.

are taking immediate decision and even put boy into soup.
if wants to flee with ex-boy friend..why not done earlier before marriage.
    who stopped her..??
what message actually you wants to give to other gals..especially from poor families.
At least they stay comfortably with selected boy by her parents..and are living loving and caring with children's.
we should become proud of such gals who take there family in good condition inspite of lot of odds.
gal like anita are spoiling name of parents..and the family.
