Kasargod: Murder suspect arrested for abducting minor girl

Kasargod, Aug 1: Kumble police have arrested a murder suspect in another case for the kidnap of a minor girl.

Abdul Asir (21) from Bandyodu Adka was taken into custody with the kidnapped girl at Parappa.

The girl was missing since Sunday evening, July 31. Kumble police had been searching for the girl after the girl's family complained that she was missing.

The police have also detained two other suspects from a house in Parappa after receiving information that the girl was there.

Abdul Asir was the second accused relating to the murder of Shafique (25) at Kumble Peral two years ago. The dead body of Shafique was buried in the heap of sand near a building under construction. Kumble police had arrested Asir and two others with regard to the incident.

Abdul Asir who was involved in several assault cases was staying in Kumble Peral, Mogral. Asir was arrested by Vittal police on April 1, with a revolver without licence. He was released only twelve days ago on bail.

Abdul Asir is also an accused in the shooting incident at Puttur’s Rajdhani Jewellers on October 6, 2015. Police have said that several cases are registered against him in Kerala and Karnataka police stations.
